John Henry Group places second at Felixstowe Regatta
SUFFOLK, UK- The Felixstowe Regatta saw some of John Henry Group’ s managerial team take to the water. Regular sponsors of the event, John Henry Group took the sailing boat, St Christopher, out to compete in the Cruiser Class race sailing from Levington Marina near Ipswich. Hosted by Haven Ports yacht club, the Cruiser Class race saw six boats competing in a dash between Felixstowe and Harwich at the mouth of the Orwell River. Several hours after battling the elements, the team, consisting of members from both John Henry Group’ s Fibre and Telecoms Construction divisions( John Henry Biscomm and John Henry Comms) and their clients, finshed a respectable second place out of six boats in the Cruiser Class.“ It was a great day’ s sailing in perfect conditions,” said John Henry Group Director, Jim
Henry, from John Henry Comms.“ We were delighted to be able to take part and sponsor the event again in 2016.” Established over 18 years as one of the premier yacht racing regattas on the East Coast. The regatta is organised jointly by Haven Ports YC, Royal Harwich YC and Walton & Frinton YC. We have racing for IRC rated and Cruiser rated yachts and One Design Fleets.
