Denis and John Boyle
during their visit
together to the new
Queensferry Crossing
in June 2016
he received a knock at the door – it was the police.
“They had received a series of complaints from South
Queensferry residents about the noise from the explosion.
“He was taken to the police station to answer questions but was eventually released without charge.”
The company’s management team were delighted
about the breakthrough, despite the controversy.
“The same couldn’t be said for the residents,” said
Denis.
“Even though my father is now 86, to this day we still
wind him up telling him that there are still “WANTED”
posters of him around South Queensferry!”
