Why was it relevant for me to travel to Denmark?
I work as a German teacher at Institut Antoni de Martí i
Franquès. At the moment there are 1300 students, who study
ESO or Batxillerat at our high-school, 440 of them study
German as first or as a second language. This fact means that
ours is the public school in Catalonia with the largest number of
students, who learn German as a foreign language.
Currently I am the head of the German Department. One of my
main goals was to observe how foreign languages are taught in
Denmark and to see what we can incorporate to our daily
practice.
On the other hand I am the Library Coordinator. School
libraries can play an enormous role facilitating the acces to
education and guaranteing equal access to education.
