The city of Søndenborg is at the UNESCO network
of learning cities.
Sønderskov-Skolen works on that too. They are a
Global Goals School and every year, every grade
prepares a project about a goal, and they present it
anyway (families evenings, projects with other
countries…)
The International Coordinator, Haysamm Gheith has
organised two students trips to the Middle East,
Lebanon and Jordan.
The
UNESCO
has
a
special
interest
internationalizing schools in the Middle East.
10.00 – 12.00 Visiting Global House (VidensBy
Søndenborg).
Knowledge City Søndenborg (VidensBy Søndenborg
) is a “Learning Platform” that started some years
ago with the “House of Science” and is organized in
five different areas of action:
* Global House
House of Citizenship
House of Creativity
House of Health
House of Science
It gets fund from private corporations, the
Municipality and ALL schools in Søndenborg.
We met Marie Fink, Educational Coordinator of *
Global House. She showed us the office in
Søndenborg centre and told us about their work.
