first moment we stepped on Sonderskov Skolen and
whenever we have been to any of your classes we
have enjoyed the atmosphere of inclusive and
motivating teaching and learning.
You should be proud of your school, a UNESCO
school, for promoting education of quality and
spreading the message of the United Nations.
We would like to especially thank Hayssam for
organising everything: Hayssam you are
the
perfect host and the perfect Gheith.
We will be using all these experiences we have
acquired these days to improve our own education
practice in Catalonia an we will try to promote
lifelong learning.
11.45 - 12.15 LEAPS from students’ point of
view.
We met Cerkilina and Sila (Grade 8) and they
highlighted:
- They started LEAPS last year at GRADE 7. It
was hard at the beginning, chaos.
- Now, they feel better, but still they think that
traditional lessons feel more structured.
- They do projects twice a year for 3 weeks.
- They have more contact with the surroundings
while doing the projects.
- Projects help them with oral presentations for
National examination at the end of Grade 9.
- They love exhibition nights with families!
