Communicate effectively
During the interview it is important that you remember to speak slowly and
clearly for the panel to understand what you are saying.
Don’t be afraid of pauses or silences as these can give you extra time to think,
compose and present your evidence better. Ensure you don’t ramble on with
non-essential evidence. If you feel yourself doing this, stop, breath and re-focus
on the question.
Speak with Confidence
Speak loud and clearly, but use your normal speaking voice. Try to sound
relaxed and not hesitant when you talk.
The interview will go more smoothly if you know what you are talking about.
Body Language
Be aware of your body language
Avoid fidgeting
Sit upright
Lean slightly forward in your chair
Nod your head where appropriate
Show the panel that you are trustworthy by making eye contact with each one
when you speak.
Look relaxed and at ease throughout the interview.
Shake the interviewer’s hand again before leaving.
