What is it?
In response to this question here are some definitions from e-learning literature
“Peter Merholz: Contrary to common wisdom, user-centered design is not a
process, but a philosophy. User-centered design requires the inclusion of a
product's end-users throughout the design process.” (Evans, 2002)
“Nate Shedroff: User-Centered Design is an approach to creating experiences for
people with their needs in mind. Usability is one of the primary foci but only one
of several. Others include usefulness, desirability, legibility, learnability, etc. The
benefits are that these experiences are often easier to use and learn; more
