Staff Longevity and Continuity Although we do not possess a“ crystal ball” to see into the future, our past experience indicates that we will continue to have stability in our staff. The personnel assigned to your audit team will remain throughout the engagement.
Jacobson Jarvis does not operate in the traditional pyramid environment that either moves professionals up to the next level or out the door. Instead, we strive to maintain consistent, long-term client relationships and our clients benefit from the fact that our audit staff grows in knowledge and responsibility.
The role of our auditors changes and grows within the engagement as their relationship with the client changes and grows. We work as a true team with each member completing any and all tasks for which they are qualified. The primary goal is client satisfaction, not career advancement. We would anticipate no more than one staff member change during a five-year period.
We value consistency in our relationships and also recognize the need for fresh perspectives. In order to continue meeting our goal of audit quality, the partner responsible for detail review of working papers is rotated every few years. This does not, however, alter our basic relationship with a client, as both Julleen Snyder and Erin Welch, who serve as primary audit review partners, maintain ongoing relationships with all of our audit clients.
Within the past three years three professionals have left the audit department due to personal or professional reasons. The tenure of our professional staff( excluding partners) ranges from two to ten years.
