Stepping Forward – Self-Advocacy Guide for Middle and High School Students
Library
Students come to the library throughout the year with their teachers. The library is open during the school day, so that students may use the library independently with arrangements by a teacher. To check-out books, students must have their student ID or student ID number.
Extracurricular Activities
Clubs
Clubs are formed when enough students express an interest in an activity to warrant its organization. Interested teachers sponsor these clubs which meet after school. The Club Catalogue will be available by the end of September of the club schedule for the school year.
National Junior Honor Society
Eighth Grade students selected for membership in the National Junior Honor Society must possess specific criteria in the areas of academic performance, community service and leadership positions( in and out of school). The selection process will begin during the second semester of their eighth-grade year.
Sports
We’ re thrilled to announce that sports are back at JFK. Thank you to the Enfield Community for coming together to ensure that our students have the opportunity of sports in middle school. As members of a team or being a spectator cheering on friends, sports are a big part of our school community. We can’ t wait to see our students out on the field, court, or track representing our school with pride.
