There are several options to stay informed of JFK events and news . We send electronic messages directly to the email address / es filed with the school . Additionally , we send text messages to the mobile number / s you have provided ( you must have SMS text clicked in your parent portal ). In order to receive these vital communications , please ensure you are registered with our district-wide communication system : school messenger . A few weeks ago , we sent out a survey requesting your intention for our four day in-person offering . We had many parents / guardians respond with their decision ; however , we understand this is not an easy decision for some families , and the survey was left unsubmitted . We recognize why families may feel cautious and value your sentiment regarding this choice . If you did not submit the survey or have changed your mind about remaining remote , we respectfully request that you contact your house administrator and arrange for a change in status . We will work to have your child back in school for Monday , April 26 - we are requesting that you wait one week so we can adjust to the increase in occupancy for those who indicated their intention to return . The renovation has created a significant squeeze on available space thus we want to make sure we are properly prepared to safely handle an increase in occupancy . We are excited to offer a school-wide virtual assembly to our students on their first day back to four-day learning ( 4 / 19 ).
