PORTRAITS IN SUCCESS

Hanging out in the Student Village
AS A STUDENT, ONE OF THE GREATEST EVENTS MY
mates and I enjoyed was the Student Village golf day. It was a day filled with giggles and liquids, great nibbles and good
friends… and some golf. We connected
and we had great stories to share. The big
leaguers use the word ‘networking’ to describe this connection. I, with grass burns
on my golfing trousers, called it ‘cementing good friendships’.
Student Village started out as a social
networking website geared towards students. It connects likeminded students
and assists businesses in promoting their
brand in attracting the best young graduates. The website advises on careers,
guides students in choosing a correct career path, and with all hope, directs them
to their first job.
