According to Sinclair, “colour is the foundation” to ‘Exotic Summer’, and the collection features pave-set hoop earrings in 9ct yellow gold available in amethyst, tsavorites, yellow or pink sapphire and blue topaz. Additionally, it also features three “weighty” cocktail rings, available in 18ct white gold with blue topaz and peridot or 18ct yellow gold with citrine or amethyst stone. AUCTIONS 17.43 carat Kashmir sapphire ring sold for £723,062 at auction A 17.43 carat Kashmir sapphire ring has sold for £723,062 at the Bonhams London Jewels sale. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th Century, the cushion-shaped sapphire was formerly owned by a European noble family. It was the first time it had appeared at auction, attracting interest from multiple bidders, before it eventually sold to a telephone buyer, far exceeding its pre-sale estimate of £300,000-400,000. AUCTIONS Curated Cartier collection set to make over £100,000 at auction Fellows’ Fine Jewellery sale on 16 May is set to feature 13 items from Cartier, with a total high estimate of nearly £150,000 (£141,400). The French jewellery and watch company was founded in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier, who operated in a Parisian jewellery workshop until it expanded to include watches in 1874. In 1899, Cartier moved to their current Paris address before expanding to New York and London just a few years later. Known as one of the most popular jewellery designers in the world, Fellows said Cartier’s pieces have been “incredibly sought after” at auction. POP-UPS Azza Fahmy Jewellery to launch pop-up shop at Harrods Luxury jewellery design house, Azza Fahmy, has announced plans to open its first London pop-up shop in the Knightsbridge department store, Harrods. The month long pop-up which opens on 1 June forms part of Harrods new and exclusive showcase presentation of unique jewellery from around the world, including a limited edition collection that will be available exclusively for the duration of the trunk show.
