Sit here, this is the best seat
The day after the wedding, my sister Linda, her daughter Meghann, Luke, Ryan, Mimi and I flew down to Disney World in Orlando Florida and had a real blast. Meghann was a really cool kid and Luke and Ryan were amazed by her. I also thought that she was cool and she had just finished a environmental engineering degree from Maryland State University but wanted to get into medical school at the time. She was very smart, pretty, cheeky, full of energy and always looking to have fun. Disney World was incredible, with 12 hour days. We did most of the rides but the best of the best was the Rock and Roller Coaster. This ride had us walking past a big screen as we watched the band Aero Smith talking. Then we sat in a limo that went from 0-100 miles per hour in less than a few seconds and it took your photo one second from entering pitch black darkness where the ride did two upside down loops. The roller coaster then proceeded to go though many other obstacles where it did a corkscrew motion and stopped dead. As we got off, we could see the photos of us that were taken earlier. We all looked incredibly weird but we vowed to get the picture perfect so we went on the ride over and over again and we did manage to get the photo looking great. This ride was a highlight of Disney World but the funniest ride was yet to come.
After getting into a round raft with about 7 seats that then traveled past several animal enclosures and wetlands, we then went under large waterfall that seemed to only drench one of the seats in the raft. We laughed a bit at the misfortune of that person sitting there. When the ride was over we didn’ t get off but watched as a person sat in the same seat that just got soaked. We were thinking would this happen again and we started giggling just before we got to the waterfall and to our amazement the person sitting in that seat got totally wet and I mean drenched. Our laughter was now uncontrollable and we laughed and laughed. So we decided to stay on the ride yet again and yes, the next person got soaked. We gently guided people into the soaker seat and said that seat was the best. The laughter peaked and at some point we had to get off the ride.
Meghann Seidner and Mimi, Marina Del Rey, California
Meghann had decided to get her Masters in Business Administration and she was accepted to an ivy league school- University of California Los Angeles- so she moved to the LA beach town of Santa Monica and within two short years received her very prestigious degree. This was a massive accomplishment and one that was able to allow her to get connected with an LA firm in the capacity of marketing management. After successfully contributing to the growth of the company she moved on to another similar group and now lives in Manhattan Beach, another upscale LA suburb. She has achieved enormous professional success and has a keen interest in participating in marathons and long distance running. She is also charity minded and has recently become a Yoga instructor. We do keep putting the pressure on her to get married but she is slow to respond in this area. She is a true California girl and has a very happy and active life. Meghann has visited us in Perth twice, once with her parents when she was very young and a few years ago as an adult. She will be visiting us again in Perth at the end of June 2013 with her Mom Linda.
