experience. When we arrived in Haines we were able to arrange a free night accommodation at the local fire department and another night in a church. Haines is famous for its bald eagle population( Valley of the Eagles) which was amazing. We watched these spectacular predators for hours but the highlight was when I saw two eagles in the air fighting over a big salmon.

We met someone who had a Thompson submachine gun and he let us shoot this. 45 caliber gun and use it to make some provocative poses for our photos.
We left Haines and traveled over the Chilkat Pass to get onto the famous Alcan Highway and we were now headed towards our final destination- Anchorage. We drove the final 800 miles that took us about 20 hours as we had to travel back into Canada( Yukon Territory) and then into some very remote areas of Alaska. The car was now on its last legs and we literally used a rubber-band to help. We arrived in Anchorage and parked the car
