Kids ’ Night Out !
Drop off your K-5th graders for a fun , Saturday night at the J ! Kids will choose between swim time or gym games and enjoy spaghetti dinner , ice cream sundae party , and a movie . Our trained Kids ’ Place staff will supervise them throughout the night .

Middle School Lock In
Kids in grades 6-8 are invited to spend the night at the J ! This is an all-night event supervised by JCC Youth Department staff , including some Camp Hilbert and Specialty Camps Counselors . We ’ ll have lots of great activities including DJfueled dance party , pickup basketball , hangout lounge with card and board games , multiplayer video games on the big screen and MORE ! Snacks , drinks , midnight ice cream sundae bar and breakfast on Sunday morning is included . Sleeping space is provided ( optional ).

Spotlight : An Exploratory Theatre Experience for Kids !
Spotlight is a new , 8-week theatre program for kids grades 1-4 that introduces kids to the magic of theatre . Participants will explore all aspects including the world of design , backstage and technical skills and , of course , performance . On the final day of class , friends and family will be invited to see a final presentation showcasing all that students have created and discovered .

Unexpected Artistry !

Kids grades 1-5 are invited to draw designs of the imagination with eyes closed , dance and paint to music and more ! Artists will enjoy the art of creating outside the lines . It is recommended to bring a smock or wear paintfriendly clothing .

JFT ’ s Second Stage Youth Theater Program
Jewish Family Theatre ’ s Second Stage program is the Weinstein JCC ’ s educational training intensive where students work with some of the most talented theatre professionals in the Richmond theatre and education community for a complete “ page to stage ” process , culminating in a full performance experience . Tu B ’ Shevat We will honor Tu B ’ Shevat this year with an all-day seder activity focusing on the different foods included in the unique Tu B ’ Shevat seder and learn about the meaning behind them . Date details to come .
Purim Wear your favorite costumes and join us for special events during our Purim Carnival on March 24 from noon to 3:00 . Face painting , crafts , and costume themed activities for the whole family ! The JCC will also host a Megillah reading , further details to come .
Yom Ha ’ Atzmaut Mark your calendar to join the JCC and the Richmond Jewish Federation on May 14 for a day of fun and engaging activities for the whole family to celebrate Israeli Independence day .
