Preschool Playtime

Coach Randy will take part in some of the activities and games that he teaches during the JCC ’ s Preschool P . E . classes throughout the year and offer additional playtime for your little one to get their wiggles and giggles out ! This extracurricular class will introduce your child to various sports , but they will also use their imagination to explore various skills , including spatial awareness , stability , locomotor , and object control .

Jr . NBA is a program where children from preschool through 5th grade can focus on the fundamentals of basketball . From dribbling , passing , shooting , layups , rebounding and defense . The program instills teamwork , sports-person-ship , skill development , and most importantly FUN ! The start of the season will begin with a skills evaluation so that we can get to know the athletes and form as even teams as possible .

Basketball Skills with Coach Randy

Randy has been playing basketball since he was four years old ! He has trained and coached kids as young as three years old , all the way up to eighteen years old ! He has 5 years of basketball coaching experience and has coached a high-level AAU team for the past 3 years .
This is a great opportunity to enhance some of the skills learned in our Jr . NBA program . Randy has the knowledge and experience to help take your child ’ s basketball skills to the next level . The class will be coached through fun games , drills , and scrimmages .

Girls on the Run
Coming this Spring ! Grades : 3-5 8-week session
Girls on the Run encourages girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths and celebrate connections with others . Their tested curriculum blends physical activity with skill development that enables girls to adapt to whatever comes their way ! Participants train with Girls on the Run staff to compete in a 5k at the end of the session !

Randy Finn is the Weinstein JCC ’ s Sports & Recreation Coordinator . Randy has been playing basketball since he was four years old ! Randy was Camp Hilbert ’ s athletic specialist this past summer , he has also worked in our Kids ’ Place afterschool program for over half a decade and is our Preschool P . E . Teacher ! So , he has a keen understanding of age appropriate and fun activities for all ages and abilities at the JCC . Randy will be running the following programs and Leagues for us ; Jr . NBA , Private / Semi-private basketball training , Preschool Gymnastics , Preschool Playtime , Basketball Skills , Flag-Football Skills , and Camp Games at the JCC .
