.My parents, Brian and Heather, met at the University of Northern Iowa. My father was a senior in college, my mother was a freshman. They both worked at the computer, which is where they met. My mothers first semester of college was my fathers last. The job at the computer lab was a work study, or a way to pay off the student loans. My mothers boyfriend was a year younger, still going to high school. They grew fond of each other, with my dad dropping a class to work more with her. Their first date, my mother brought two of her friends, and the elevator was broken so my father had to walk up eight flights of stairs to get her. They were promised by three months and engaged by six. They got married and lived in the married student housing on campus. Several years later, I was born and they both had steady jobs and promising careers. Throughout the 23 years that they have been married, their love has not changed. Without out these two people, I would not be where I am today, both figuratively and literally.
