The Town Hall has approved the proposal for the roofing and and lighting of the riurau d'Arnauda the
work is estimated at 84,539 euros and has a 50% subsidy from the Agència Valenciana de Turismo in
its Millor Plan 2014, for the improvement of tourism resources. Tenders have already been requested
for the work, due to start in October, explained the Councillor for Heritage, Antonio Miragall. The project
includes covering the building with a gabled roof and distressed wood beams, wiring and interior and
exterior lighting, and electricity. This project is designed for hosting social and cultural events, as well
as improve the resource included in the regional route dels Riuraus. The riurau d 'Arnauda is one of
the best remaining examples of this typr of traditional Riurau. Privately owned a few years ago the City
reached an agreement with the owners to incorporate into the municipal heritage project. The riurau
was dismantled piece by piece and rebuilt again in Montaner Park. Now it is available to the public and
listed on the tourist routes.
