Jávea Town Hall has joined the social
energy poverty program launched
by the Government to avoid power
cuts to the most vulnerable families.
The proposal from Pepa Gisbert,
Councillor for the Department of
Social Services, has been ratified
by a decree from the mayor.
Now it has asked that the Department
of Housing Xàbia be included in the
agreements with Iberdrola, Endesa and Gas Natural Fenosa in order
to combat energy poverty in households at risk of social exclusion.
The Fight Against Energy Poverty
is now at an early stage, so that
the town is waiting to gather all
the necessary information and
install the relevant programs.
However, The Town Hall should
soon be able to inform all of
Jávea´s citizens, who find themselves
in difficulty, of the steps needed to
be able to access this new program to
support families in a difficult situation.
