Welcome to our Summer Newsletter As the show season is well underway we are having better weather than we did last year and hopefully this means that less (or no) shows have to be cancelled due to the weather conditions. So far it’s been good and I hope this continues through the season. It’s been cooler recently which has been nice for the dogs as some of the days have been a bit warm in the heat of the day. It has been nice to see more of the sun this year though. This issue of the newsletter has been issued both as the regular pdf format and as an online magazine. Please do let us know on [email protected] what you think and if you have a preference for which format you prefer to receive the newsletter in. Dates for the diary. Events in 2013 There are a number of events that are going to be held during the year by both the club and other organisations that may be of interest to Japanese Akita Inu owners. ? Japanese Akita Inu Club show – 01.09.2013 – the Japanese Akita Inu club will again be holding a club show at the City of Birmingham show venue. This is a great opportunity for exhibitors to attend 2 shows on the same day at the same venue. The club show will be held in the KC building adjacent to the main show in the morning, with Japanese Akita Inu classes at Birmingham City Championship show being judged in the afternoon. Discover Dogs – 09.11.2013 – 10.11.2013 – the Japanese Akita Inu will be in the Utility section of Discover Dogs at Earls Court. If you will be there please stop by and say hello to us. For more information and to buy tickets visit: http://www.discoverdogs.org.uk Crufts 2013 – the judging of the Japanese Akita Inu is on Friday 8th March for all those who have qualified in classes during 2012. In 2012 there was a great entry and it was fantastic to see you all. We hope to see you all again in 2013 and to welcome the new exhibitors and owners. During all 4 days of Crufts the club will also be in the Utility area of Discover Dogs so come and visit us there.
