On 3rd & 4th February 2018 the
Northern Tasmanian Quarter Horse
Club hosted the Tasmanian State
Championships at Santarena Park,
Scottsdale. Competitors travelled
from across Tasmania to compete.
With perfect weather conditions both
days the show turned out to be a
remarkable success.
Our Judge for the weekend was
Joanne Gregory from Sydney who
did a superb job.
First up on Saturday morning we
had Halter with Champion Colt
JB Foolin with Diamonds shown
by Prue Dennis. Grand champion
gelding Zipped in Rhythm shown by
Michelle Phillips, Reserve Champion
Cowboy Code shown by Annalise
Kettle. Grand Champion Mare was
Clairveaux Model shown by Susan
Gittus. Reserve Champion On
Probation shown by Teresa Robinson.
Showmanship started with our
Junior Youth winner being Kady
Morgan, showing Im Good N lazy,
second place Milla Hunt, with Hez
Glory Bound, and third place went
to Alie Morgan, with On Probation.
Senior Youth was won by Rachel
Robinson and Doin It Downunder,
second place went to Alisha Moles,
with Deep Blue Cee, and third
Annalise Kettle and Cowboy Code.
The biggest class of the day was
Junior Hunter in Hand which
was won by Clairveaux Model and
Susan Gittus, Senior Hunter In Hand
was taken out by Carol Ahern with
Annlee Top Shot.
Our All Age Hunter under Saddle
was won by Red Hot Rythmn and
