GENERAL MEETING OCTOBER 30th , 2022
2:00 PM CANTERBURY PARK , SHAKOPEE , MN MINUTES
Board Members Present : Lynn-Ellen St . Martin , James Duenow , Steve Tibbetts , Kevin Berger , Julie Gintner , Josey Peterson , Keith Sather , Steve Bobzin , Paul Hansen , Ann Goebel
Members Absent : Amber Duncanson Meeting was called to order by President Lynn-Ellen St . Martin at 2:00 PM Public Open Comment :
Secretary ’ s Report : Leslie Mason Motion made by Roy Johnson ( Owatonna Saddle Club ), seconded by Jerry Magin ( MN Palomino Horse Exhibitors ) to approve the April 24 th , 2022 , Board Meeting Minutes . Motion carried unanimously .
Treasurer ’ s Report : Arlene Bayer
As of 10 / 24 / 2022 Checking $ 98,144.06 CD ’ s-Minnco CU $ 81,928.20
$ 180,072.26
Arlene presented the Balance Sheet and Income Statement . YTD Net Income ( Loss ) is $ 24,380.73 and LYTD Net Income ( Loss ) was ($ 40,432.09 ). There are two large bills yet to be paid for , approximately $ 49,000 MN State Fair and approximately $ 51,000 for the stalls . At the next General Meeting will bring the final numbers for Champ Show . Motion made by Bob Sansevere ( Enchanted Hollow Riding & Driving Club ) , seconded by Lori Taylor ( MN Valley Riders ), to accept the Treasurer ’ s Report subject to audit from April 24th , 2022 . Motion carried unanimously .
Correspondence : Received one club membership renewal for 2023 .
Read thank you notes from Kalli Koepp ( WSCA Queen ), Sarah Smith ( WSCA Princess ), Jordan Erickson ( Ms . Horsemanship ), Abby Simon ( Ms . Games ), Malli Stevens ( Ms . Congeniality ) and from Scholarship recipients Grace Moeller , Isabella Witucki , and Miles Flack .
Elections : Board of Directors Candidates :
Bob Sansevere ( Enchanted Hollow Riding & Driving Club ) and Amber Duncanson ( Sterling Knoll Riders )
Nominations from the floor : Steve Tibbetts ( Hollywood Riders ) nominated Rachel Duenow ( Jus Kiddin Around ). Rachel accepted the nomination .
Tim Wampfler ( Northwest Saddle Club ) nominated Julia Northwick ( Painted Sunrise ). Julia accepted the nomination .
Julie Gintner ( MN Valley Riders ) nominated Tim Wampfler ( Northwest Saddle Club ). Tim declined the nomination .
Julie Gintner ( MN Valley Riders ) nominated Glenn Strube ( Tri County Riders of Watertown ). Glenn declined the nomination .
Julie Gintner ( MN Valley Riders ) nominated Heidi Froemming ( Happy Trails Saddle Club ). Heidi declined the nomination .
Rachel Duenow ( Jus Kiddin Around ) nominated Lori Taylor ( MN Valley Riders ). Lori accepted the nomination .
Motion made by James Duenow ( Jus Kiddin Around ), seconded by Roy Johnson ( Owatonna Saddle Club ), to cease nominations . Motion carried unanimously .
Ballots were taken and Amber Duncanson , Rachel Duenow , Julia Northwick , Lori Taylor will be on the Board of Directors .
