haunting fear comes back , but they guide me out of it with a warm love .
Many have been adopted , and it gives me a sense of comfort knowing I never experienced this confusing but wonderful event alone . Hundreds of others have gone through what I did - some perhaps at the very second I did . They understand , and they don ? t understand .
It ? s part of the complexity of it all . It is a mystery that we can ? t solve and don ? t want to solve .
All we know is that we have a family and a home . We have something to call our own when before we were too afraid to become attached to anything . Adoption is like a passport - an identification card . It helps give us identity .
I ? ve been adopted twice in my life . Once by my grandparents and once by the Lord . All those adopted spiritually are connected . Perhaps the whole process is easier to understand than I once thought .
The next time you meet a person who says they were adopted , don ? t ask ? why .? Why makes us turn back into that same scared child that was adopted . It takes us away from being a part of a new

Ask different questions , and seek different answers .
