The Charbonneau pickleball group is an amazing collection of people who enjoy all the physical and social aspects of this fun , new sport . They also care about each other and their community . Just like Carol Hill , a longtime Charbonneau resident and retired nurse . She is the social director for pickleball on the Sports Center Leadership Council and can be found playing pickleball with her friends , as well as attending to minor injuries on the court as a first responder would . Carol also volunteers for the Charbonneau Sunshine Service , an organization that partners with the Wilsonville Community Center and loans home and sick room equipment to our residents . As if that isn ’ t enough to keep one busy , with her heart of gold , along with many of her treasured pickleball friends including , but not limited to , Dee Dutoit , Korren Dir , Zig Zakovics , Alice Swartz , Radah and Jim Friesz , and Lou Traeger , they thought that when they have a pickleball function they would request donations for the Wilsonville food bank . Just like that , it happened thanks to the generosity of the fabulous pickleball group ! The folks at the Wilsonville food Bank are most appreciative and have shared with us what is most needed at various times of the year . This year , the pickleball group has collected 118 jars of peanut butter , 36 containers of deodorant , two large bags of groceries , over 20 bags of laundry pods , many bottles of shampoo

changed the future of cities , medicine and science .
The book reads like a mystery thriller , as the story unfolds with death spreading over Victorian London during the summer of 1854 , causing confusion , terror and suffering . What does the map have to do with the story ? What are the consequences of the disease on that Dickensian time and place ? How does this epidemic change the world as it was then , and how we live today ?
The group ’ s previous two books were “ Isaac ’ s Storm ” by Erik Larson , and “ Longitude ” by Dava Sobel . Both were about individuals who were important to scientific discoveries in the fields of navigation and meteorology . The book group welcomes new readers who can learn more by contacting Dave Mauk through his email in the directory .
