Survey results show general satisfaction with country club communication
The results of our recent Charbonneau Country Club communications survey are in , and , while a full report is not yet complete , we can give
WALKER you some of the highlights of the findings .
The survey was promoted in a variety of ways throughout the Charbonneau community . It was prominently promoted in the Villager ; in addition , information encouraging responses to the survey were included in several emails sent to Charbonneau ’ s 1,200 email subscribers ; a request to communicate about the survey was sent to all of the individual Charbonneau homeowners associations , with five of the HOAs reporting participation in the effort ; signage about the survey was prominently displayed in the Activity Center and the Event Center and other locations in the community , and a printed survey was made available to those unable or unwilling to utilize the online version .
The effort received a total of 351 responses . Survey respondents offered hundreds of individual comments about what they see as most valuable in the Villager , and how it can be more valuable , ideas for future issues , thoughts about an electronic version of the Villager , the most useful information on CCC ’ s website and suggestions for making it a more valuable resource , thoughts about potential uses of social media for communication and general suggestions to improve CCC ’ s overall communications . Below is a snapshot of some of the highlights that emerged from the survey .
Nearly all respondents ( 97 %) reported reading the Villager , and over three-quarters of those report being
very satisfied or satisfied with the Villager ’ s content
Survey respondents were somewhat divided about whether they would use an electronic version of the Villager , with 58 % saying yes and 42 % saying no
94 % of respondents reported receiving CCC ’ s email updates , and 80 % reported that they are either very satisfied or satisfied with the content of the emails
61 % of survey respondents either visit the CCC website often ( 14 %) or occasionally log onto the website ( 47 %). When the website is used often or occasionally , two-thirds of respondents reported being either very satisfied or satisfied with the content of the website
Overall , three-quarters of survey respondents reported being either very satisfied or satisfied with the ways in which CCC communicates with them
A comprehensive report of the findings is being prepared and that report includes all individual comments submitted by respondents . The report will be reviewed by the Communications Committee , submitted to the Board of Directors at its January meeting and then posted on the CCC website .
Giving , giving , giving
In the spirit of the Emmys , many apologies for forgetting to mention someone . At the close of my column last month I invited readers to tell me if I missed anything significant in my rundown of the generous giving that takes place year-round here in Charbonneau . Mary Fieweger of the Niners stepped up immediately to let me know that , in addition to the Niners ’ impressive giving for cancer research , they do much more . According to Mary they are the only golf club that for the past seven years has supported the Wilsonville girls golf team both financially and with equipment . They also donate an equal amount to the Charbonneau Men ’ s Club for its employee scholarship fund . In addition , they do a Christmas gift wrap program , and annually donate $ 1,700- $ 2,000 to Wilsonville Community Sharing . Thank you Niners !
