We ’ re looking for donations of seeds to start a community seed library !. To help us start the seed library we are gladly accepting commercial seeds packs as donations . Open pollinated and non-GMO seeds are preferred . Please do not provide seed packets older than 3 years old . Drop your donations off at the adult reference desk .
We ’ re also looking for three specific issues of the Wilsonville Spokesman — If you have the issues from Aug . 24 , Oct . 12 and Nov . 9 , we ’ d certainly be very glad to receive them !

Benny ’ s Donuts , Mr . Maple Donuts to open stores in Wilsonville early next year

Benny ’ s Donuts and Mr . Maple Donuts are both set to open locations in Wilsonville early this year , ending the relative donut drought in town .

Every year the Charbonneau Men ’ s Club , Women ’ s 9 Hole and Charbonneau Women ’ s Golf Association members provide annual scholarships to qualified employees of the Charbonneau Golf Club . Applications are received in September , reviewed by a special committee made up of representatives from each club and the winners are announced in late November .
This year ’ s recipients are Ryan Frentress , a business major at Oregon State University , McKenna Rump , enrolled at the University of Oregon in education , Kathryn Frentress , a nursing student at the University of Portland , Cole Van Valin ,
will be located in the Town Center commercial district at 8261 SW Wilsonville Road , next door to Peachy Berry . Owner Don Decarlo said they ’ re planning to open Jan . 7 . Customers can stop by on opening day for a free donut .
Originally from Corvallis , where the business mainly catered to college students , Benny ’ s Donuts has four locations including the new one in Wilsonville . Customers will be able to mix and match donut

Mr . Maple Donuts , a sister company to Sesame Donuts , doesn ’ t have a set opening date just yet , but owner Mike Aljamal said he ’ s hoping to begin welcoming customers in late January or February .
The donut shop will be located at 29890 SW Town Center Loop .
Aljamal said he chose Wilsonville interests and activities , grades , recommendations and more .
This program is funded from club member donations , club budgeted donations and anonymous donations from the local golf community . The scholarship committee is very grateful for the support and anticipates the program will continue indefinitely .

The donuts are made fresh daily , Aljamal said , and options range from classics to specialty donuts such as the cheesecake donut , which is Aljamal ’ s personal favorite . Mr . Maple Donuts will also , of course , feature plenty of maple-flavored donuts .
