With Lok Sabha polls approach- CARTOON CORNER ing and political activity peaking with every passing day the security forces have already expressed fears about the possible misuse of combat dress by the militant organisations before attacking strategic locations and spreading fear in the minds of the common people. It may be recalled that militants in army combat uniforms in the past, B U N T Y have carried out attacks on army and paramilitary forces both in Jammu and Kashmir valley. Sources further said that fearing misuse of combat uniforms that are easily available in the market the state government may be well advised to look into the matter and impose ban on its sale and purchase strictly. Though the district administration is supposed to maintain a tight vigil on selected shops selling such items still lack of manpower and work culture prevents them from daily monitoring of their stocks and vulnerable businessmen often fall prey to the unjust requirement of unauthorised customer.
