ATTENTION ALL SIXTH GRADERS
By: Sylvia Rearick
It’s already the 3rd quarter, are you caught up with all your work? If you’re struggling and need some organizational tips, or could simply use a refresher, read these tips! You might be surprised at the effect it can have on your grade.
General Tips:
-To help keep track of your homework or projects, be sure to write any work down, along with the due date, in your agenda or a piece of paper.
-To not lose your homework put strat into your binder not under your chair.
-Do not do your homework in class unless permission or wait until you reach home.
-When you get home check your agenda for homework and do it right away.
-Keep your binder clean, and organize work in folders to make sure you don’t lose track of it.
Tips for Tests:
-Study ahead of time, don’t cram everything
in the day before the test.
-Don’t cheat, it isn’t fair you get to benefit off
of someone’s work.
-Try your best on the test, even if you don’t
know, it is better to make an educated guess than write nothing at all.
Tips for Grades:
-Be sure to advocate for yourself, if you find yourself unhappy with your grade, ask your teacher about what’s bringing it down.
-Check all your graded assignments often, see if there are any Z’s or low scores, and ask your teacher if you can come in for lunch or after school to complete or retake work.
