Validation study of Siriraj , Guys , Greek and Besson stroke scores value frequency
The analysis for determination of the validation of Siriraj stroke score was done among 107 cases after excluding the total of 31 equivocal categories from Siriraj score , meaning it was not certain to label the cases as haemorrhagic or ischemic stroke and while 2 were normal categories from CT scan results . The sensitivity , specificity , positive predictive value , and negative predictive value of Siriraj stroke score for differentiation of haemorrhage from ischemic stroke were 83.9 %, 68.6 %, 74.6 %, and 79.5 %, respectively , and the overall accuracy of Siriraj score was 82 % ( Table 2 ).
The analysis for determination of the validation of Guys stroke score was done among 62 cases after excluding the total of 76 equivocal categories , meaning it was not certain to label the cases as haemorrhagic or ischemic stroke and 2 normal results from CT scan . The sensitivity , specificity , positive predictive value , and negative predictive value of Guys clinical score for differentiation of haemorrhage from ischemic stroke were 47.8 %, 89.7 %, 73.3 % and 74.5 %, respectively and the overall accuracy of Guys score from this study was 74.5 % ( Table 2 ).
The analysis for determination of the validation of Greek stroke score was done among 60 cases after excluding the total of 78 equivocal categories , meaning it was not certain to label the cases as haemorrhagic or ischemic stroke and 2 normal results from the CT scan . The sensitivity , specificity , positive predictive value , and negative predictive value of Greek stroke score for differentiation of haemorrhage from ischemic stroke were 58.8 %, 88.5 %, 87 %, and 62.2 %, respectively and the overall accuracy of Greek score was 71.6 % ( Table 2 ).
The analysis for determination of the validation of Besson stroke score was done among 138 cases after excluding 2 normal results from the CT scan . The sensitivity , specificity , positive predictive value , and negative predictive value of Besson clinical score for differentiation of ischemic from haemorrhagic stroke were 35.3 %, 88.6 %, 75 % and 58.5 %, respectively and the overall accuracy of Besson score of this study was 62.3 % ( Table 2 ).
