the High Ambient conditions of the GCC Region,
exceeding the minimum energy efficiency
requirements set by regional regulators such as
ESMA, Estidama, AD-QCC, SASO, MEW, QS-
SASO, Bahrain SASO, GSO and others. In Africa
& other Middle East countries, more products
were introduced to the market, using Inverter
Technology. Daikin has recently acquired Zanotti
and together will be offering more commercial
refrigeration products in this region.

SHAPING THE NEW HVAC ERA
Continuous growth in the HVAC innovative
technologies and the consumer lifestyles in line
with market growth of the construction activities
had become a growing trend in the HVAC
industry. Compliant, Efficient & Innovative are the
key drivers currently.
There is an increasing demand for smart home
control and total control solutions for commercial
systems. This includes integrating, centralizing,
energy monitoring, predictive maintenance, smart
apps and remote controlling of HVAC equipment
along with all other the mechanical and electrical
equipment.
GCC governments are already lifting utility
subsidies. Energy Efficient models can help
reduce at least 30% of the conventional AC
Energy Consumption rates without scarifying
on the expected comfort levels. Our aim is to
continue the development of highly efficient
models. We have launched a new green
refrigerant R-32 for residential products that
will set a new milestone in Air Conditioning
Sustainability for its low Global Warming Potential
and Zero Ozone Depletion.
In the pipe line of Daikin’s innovations, this
refrigerant has been implemented in an inverter
wall split which is considered the most efficient
& greenest Air Conditioner in the market that can
help to reduce up to 50% energy consumption,
compared to conventional A/C. More and more
regions are mature markets, opening the door for
replacement business.
Market & regulators are also pushing for the
development of more Green & high efficient
products & some industry bodies started to
recognize and promote such products.
EGBC (Emirates Green Building Council) had
awarded Daikin VRV IV series, the Green Building
award of Year 2016 last May. Earlier, our chiller
product range had won Best Manufacturer of the
year Award twice in a row in 2014 & 2015 in one
of the HVAC Industry award events.
