A Word from Wendy
And just like that , we are stepping into the last few months of yet another year .
It has been a big few months , and years , and as always , the team at EllieB ’ s have continued to work tirelessly to ensure everyone has felt safe , secure , seen and heard . Thank you once again to each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication .
As our Chair has already mentioned , the Daveron Park sites continues to be a very exciting development for EllieB ’ s . We have signed the contract and work has now begun on this state-of-the-art development .
As the pictures show , the respite centre is hardly recognisable at the moment . We look forward to sharing the redevelopment progress with you as it all unfolds over the next 6 to 7 months !
In addition to the redevelopment , we have also secured three new respite properties to ensure participants loved ones continue to enjoy short stays with their friends .
As we continue to rollout our new name and brand , we are thrilled to see our new look and feel shining brightly at our offices and online on our website , elliebs . org . au . Be sure to check out the pages to follow for a sneak peek at it all .
A big thank you to the EllieB ’ s staff and carers who were involved in helping us to develop the new brand . Special thanks also go to Andrew Killey from Brand A , Sarah Anesbury and her team at the Creative Union and our long-time marketing guru and dear partner , Nereeda McInnes for bringing it all to life , it looks incredible !!
In this edition of the newsletter , you will see many smiles from around the traps from our incredible participants and staff working , playing , sewing , creating and enjoying some of our amazing Day Options programs headed up by House Manager , Lilian Odhigu .
Behind the scenes , we have also been busy working on our strategic vision and innovation that is to come as the months and years progress . This includes rebranding work which has commenced to bring the look and feel of our plan management Service , Enable Plan Management in line with EllieB ’ s new image .
Enable Team Leader , Erin and the Plan Management team look forward to sharing further developments in the coming months as we turn our attention to rebranding this amazing service .
As we continue to press forward , the safety of our participants and community continue to be at the forefront of all that we do and why we do it . And like the rest of the world we have everything crossed that COVID ceases to be a public health crisis sooner rather than later .
