Corinne Donohue Adams (Yumkas, Vidmar, Sweeney & Mulrenin) prepared materials for and spoke on a panel called Serving the Insolvent or Bankrupt Client and Getting Paid for the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. At the panel, Corinne talked to experts and potential experts about preparing for and testifying in bankruptcy cases and how to get paid for work before and during the case. Corinne also completed her duties as the Reporter/CLE Chair of the Walter Chandler American Inn of Court and became the Executive Committee Program Chair.

Rachel Ehrlich Albanese joined DLA Piper as a partner in the Restructuring group in New York.

Jasmine Ball (Debevoise & Plimpton) spoke at the 2016 National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Northeast Regional Conference in August on Trends Affecting Corporate Legal Practices. The panel discussed current financial trends which have been affecting the flow of corporate legal work, including market trends, regulatory trends, and corporate investments.

Carrianne Basler and her firm AlixPartners, a global business advisory firm, were awarded with Turnaround Management Association (TMA)’s “Transaction of the Year - Large Company” for their work on behalf of Altegrity, Inc. Carrianne Basler and Kevin McShea, Managing Directors at AlixPartners, led the team that advised Altegrity in the restructuring and recapitalization of the company, including developing business plans, managing liquidity, and financial reporting throughout the process. The award was presented at the TMA’s Annual Conference, on November 3 at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Heather Brown is excited to announce the second anniversary of Brown Law, LLC. Heather’s practice focuses on bankruptcy litigation and creditor’s rights issues with an emphasis on the rights of landlords and lenders in both local and national cases.

Mary Caloway was appointed to Chair Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practice Group; she also heads the firm’s Wilmington office.

Lisa Donahue (AlixPartners) was honored by Tina’s Wish at its annual benefit dinner held at the American Museum of Natural History on September 26. The event raised more than $1.4 million which will be used to fund research into the early detection of ovarian cancer.

Leanne Gould (HDH Advisors) recently presented Business Valuation and Statutory Fair Value and Is it Fraud? Transactions Under the U.V.T.A. Microscope to members of the Atlanta Bar and attendees at the Fraud & Forensic Education Conference. She will also present Toeing the Line: Litigation Considerations for Pass-through Entities to the Atlanta Women’s Society of CPAs.

Janice Grubin (LeClairRyan) was quoted in a September 28, 2016 Wall Street Journal article entitled Shareholders Are Winning a Seat at the Bankruptcy Table.
