Baltimore Women’s Classic 5k Race
On June 28, 2015, IWIRC members joined over 2800 other runners gathered for the 40th Annual Baltimore Women’s Classic, the Mid-Atlantic's largest all women's 5k. This year, the race beneficiary was Cancerve, Inc., which provides direct support services for female cancer patients and their families in the state of Maryland. Greater Maryland members enjoyed supporting this great cause!
July Article Club
On July 23, 2015, members of the Greater Maryland and Greater Philadelphia IWIRC Networks came together for lunch and a live video-conference discussion of Today’s Woman Rainmaker: Born that Way or Learned Behavior. Between the two chapters, over 20 guests participated in a lively discussion of a recent study identifying several common factors of key rainmakers. Guests also exchanged viewpoints on whether the current insolvency/restructuring environment is conducive to female rainmaking, and shared tips on how members of IWIRC can develop their networking and rainmaking skills. The Summer 2015 Parties of 7 have begun meeting. On July 30, Lori Simpson (Law Office of Lori S. Simpson), Joyce Kuhns (Saul Ewing LLP), Jovi Bohan (Stout Risius Ross, Inc.), Marissa Lilja (Tydings & Rosenberg LLP), Angela Shortall (Protiviti) and Laura Bouyea (Venable LLP) met at M&S Grill at the Inner Harbor.
