DOING GOOD H. MOSER HELPS ROOM TO READ Schaffhausen-based H. Moser & Cie. made a commitment to fund the publishing of ten children’s books for each visitor to its Stand at the recent SIHH in Geneva. With the help of an app, each visitor was invited to symbolically contribute to the cause by pressing on the “Donate 10 books” button. The results: H. Moser contributed to the distribution of 8,300 books through the Room to Read organization. H. Moser reports that the majority of visitors at its booth during SIHH participated in the initiative. The partnership between H. Moser & Cie. and Room to Read will continue to grow through different initiatives, including the creation of unique pieces to be auctioned at the galas organized by Room to Read throughout the year. Room to Read aims to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Since 2000, the organization has enhanced the education of 16.6 million children in sixteen countries. TAG HEUER BIKES TO BATTLE CANCER As official timepiece and timekeeper of Cycle for Survival, TAG Heuer unveiled the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Cycle for Survival Special Edition chronograph, a sports watch custom-designed for Cycle for Survival. Known for its indoor cycling events across the United States, Cycle for Survival allocates 100 percent of funds to rare cancer research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The watch features a signature orange rubber strap that pairs with the trademark orange pompoms seen at the nationwide cycling events. The watch ($1,550) and is available at tagheuer.com and nationwide in TAG Heuer boutiques, with 10 percent of all proceeds from the watch donated directly to Cycle for Survival. TAG Heuer is rallying its U.S. brand ambassadors to support Cycle for Survival throughout 2019. In a recent example of TAG Heuer’s collaboration, TAG Heuer ambassadors Alexander Rossi (professional racing driver) and Tim Howard (goalkeeper for the Colorado Rapids) posted on their social media channels – across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook – to help spark awareness and support Cycle for Survival’s battle to beat rare cancers.
