Vintage BR-V2 Steel Heritage
BELL & ROSS LAUNCHED ITS VINTAGE COLLECTION IN 2009 as an
ode to the history of aviation timepieces. As a series, the round or square
watches have evolved in the years since, with the collection’s third generation
most directly inspired by instrument panels from 1960s aircrafts.
In this preview to its Baselworld 2018 debuts, Bell & Ross now releases the
latest models in this ongoing– and very popular–collection. The new Vintage BR
V2-92 and BR V2-94 Steel Heritage again successfully recreate a vintage aviation
look with a black dial. Whereas last year’s Black Steel versions of these same
models offered white numerals and hands, this new Heritage duo features
beige 12, 3, 6 and 9, intended to evoke a vintage-like patina. Also new this year is
a red “100M” designation, adding an extra bit of retro-color to the dial.
The details of these two models, one a three-hander and the other a chro-
nograph (pictured ), include a polished/satin-finished steel case with a slightly
smaller diameter of 41 mm, push-buttons, a screw-down crown, rounded lugs
that match the new metal bracelet, and a curved sapphire crystal that evokes
a vintage style.
