M EI STERS I NGE R
Meistersinger is the undisputed leader in single-hand watches. By
eschewing excess visual distraction on the dial, Meistersinger single-
handedly (pun intended) creates a look that offers the time in an
instinctual and almost relaxing manner. Inside the slim case of the DLC
coated Black Line series reside a variety of mechanical movements
from ETA or Sellita depending on the functions and display type.
Prices range from $995 for the simplest mechanical version up to
$6,495 for the Circularis with 18kt gold bezel and the Meistersinger 120
hour in-house movement.
PA RMIG I A N I
Nestled in the hills of Fleurier Switzerland, Michel Parmigiani’s namesake
brand continues to quietly express the initial horological foundations
that drive its founder. Superb finishing and purpose built movements
and complications find a home within the perfectly polished cases of any
Parmigiani timepiece. Pictured here the new Kalpa revisits a design first
proposed on 2001 with three variations on the type. Pictured here is the
Kalpa Chrono with a shaped chronograph movement crafted in solid gold.
Chronometer rated for accuracy, the Kalpa also has a better than usual
power reserve of 65 hours and is an automatic winder.
