been supporting the Land
Rover BAR team during the
America’s Cup competition.
The team’s initials refer to
Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR),
which skipper Ben Ainslie
(left) launched in 2014.
Ainslie, who is a four-time
Olympic gold medalist and
34th America’s Cup winner,
has gathered a team
made up of some of the best British and international sailors,
designers, builders and racing support. In Bermuda, the 21st
British Challenger for the America’s Cup raced their America’s
Cup Class boat R1.
The 45mm Chronomaster El Primero Sport Land Rover
BAR is a 250-piece limited edition featuring Zenith’s high-
speed El Primero chronograph movement. Here, the watch’s
slate grey dial is offset with a new strap featuring a carbon
fiber coating meant to recall the team boat. The caseback also
bears Ainslie’s lucky number, three, which has featured on all his
winning boats. Price: $8,100.
