ULYSSE NARDIN’S LONG history as a maker of marine chrono-
graphs makes it a natural to team with high-level yacht racing.
That in part is why Ulysse Nardin supported its partners, the
Swedish Artemis Racing sailing team, as they competed in a bid
to win the 35th America’s Cup.
The team’s new racing yacht, called Magic Blue, was
christened last February in Bermuda and is a new America’s
Cup Class (ACC) yacht measuring 49.2 feet long. The Artemis
Racing crew includes some of the most successful and respected
sailors and designers in the world. The team members, in total,

represent experience in twelve America’s Cup, twenty-one
Olympic Games (winning eleven medals, including seven gold
medals.) The boat’s design team has been involved in a total of
sixty-four America’s cup campaigns, including fourteen victories.
Artemis Racing represents Kungliga Svenska Segel
Sällskapet (KSSS – the Royal Swedish Yacht Club), the fifth-
oldest yacht club in the world. The club has produced Olympians
and world-class sailors over the last decades and Artemis
Racing honors its Swedish heritage with its signature colors blue
and yellow.
