MOTOR SPORTS ANONIMO MILITARE SPECIAL EDITION WRC Anonimo’s Militare collection retains its crown at the top of the dial in part to remind you of its sporty focus. And the crown’s patented case-top hinge and protection system, a remnant of the Anonimo’s origins in Florence, are just a few of the design features that make an Anonimo Militare watch among the most distinctive active-wear watches available. Anonimo’s new special edition Militare is made using the colors of one of its collaborators. Now well into its partnership with the FIA World Rally Championship, Anonimo launches the Militare Special Edition WRC, a chronograph bathed in the green and black of the WRC. As noted, this latest example of course includes the top-case crown, but also adds a grey hand-brushed dial within a black PVD case. WRC fans are sure to see the green and black tachometer and chronograph function (pusher, track, seconds hand and minutes) colors. Fans will also note the green stitched Cordura-effect strap, but will be more impressed that each strap has also been treated to be fire resistant, just like a driver’s racing suit. Finally, in tribute to the Anonimo-WRC partnership, you’ll find a special WRC engraving on both the dial and the sapphire caseback. Price: $5,325. BELL & ROSS BR V2-94 R.S. 18 RENAULT SPORT F1 TEAM This Vintage BR V2-94 R.S.18 model exudes the world of speed and racing in partnership with Formula 1 partner Renault. It features a comfortable 41mm case in satin-finished steel, a carbon fiber dial, and the black and yellow livery of the Renault Sport Formula One Team. Under a curved sapphire crystal, the BR V2-94 R.S.18 carbon fiber dial has a yellow internal minute track and two sub-dials with the chronograph accumulator in red for optimal recognition. The bezel features a tachymeter scale which allows a car’s speed to be instantly calculated over a given distance. This chronograph model evokes the sporting world of race tracks and paddocks, with its numerals adopting the typography used for the Renault Sport Formula One team. Held in place with either a steel bracelet, or the very racy two-tone pierced strap, the V2 is powered by an automatic winding Swiss mechanical engine visible through the sapphire case-back enhanced with an image of the Renault F1 car and its serial number. A threaded back and a screw down crown and pushers allow for a WR rating of 10atm. Retail price is $5,400 CARL F. BUCHERER MANERO FLYBACK The Manero Flyback family is welcoming a new edition with a ramped-up retro style inspired by Carl F. Bucherer models from the 1960s and 1970s. The new model is a stylistic update to the popular Manero Flyback we first debuted two years ago from the brand. The designers at CFB didn’t hold back on any retro-style enhancements. The stop-seconds hand is bright red, adding a punch of color, while the printed chapter ring and tachymeter scale encircling the dial are highlighted in red and white. The word “flyback,” stands out in red just below center on the dial and above the single date window outlined in white at 6 o’clock. The watch’s 43mm case is in stainless steel, with a beautifully domed sapphire crystal, front and caseback. Inside you’ll find an automatic CFB 1970 caliber with hours, minutes, small sec- onds, date and flyback column-wheel chronograph with minutes and seconds counters. Adding to the watch’s retro appeal, the medium brown strap is pierced with a suede finish on supple kudu (antelope) leather. Price: $6,900. 118 | INTERNATIONAL WATCH | FALL 2018 iWMAGAZINE .COM
