Dallas TX - Soror Elizabeth " Liz " Hampton Jackson received a Bachelor of Science degree from Wiley College and a master ' s degree from Prairie View A & M University . Soror Jackson joined Phi Chapter 70 years ago on the campus of Wiley College and maintained uninterrupted service . Soror Jackson served as the 22nd president of the Alpha Xi Omega Chapter in 1970-1971 and became a Golden Life Member in 1999 . She exhibited progressive leadership and a commitment to programs . She will be mostly remembered for her love for God , and her family .

Mobile , AL — Soror Hilda Mae Jackson became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she served on the stewardship committee and Lutheran Missionary League . Soror Jackson was initiated into Delta Theta Omega Chapter in 1992 . She received her Bachelor ' s of Science degree in Biology and master ' s degree in education at Alabama A & M University . She retired after 38 years of service at Mobile County Public School System . She was a member of the Athenian Civic & Social Club Inc . and several professional organizations . She leaves to cherish her memory husband Lawyer Olson Jackson , daughter , Toya ( Jamal ) Ali ; sister , Sally Jeanna Bradshaw ; nieces , Mona Bradshaw Wright ( Tracy ), Barbara Anne Harvey , two brother-inlaws , Lavell Jackson ( Joyce ) Rembert Jackson , two sister-in-laws , Barbara Browe Lang and Deloris PhiIon , two stepsons , Tony Jackson ( Cassandra ), Michael Dallas and a host of other family members , relatives and friends .
Jacob : Charter Member / Golden Soror / Life Member
Springdale , MD – Soror Charline Yvonne Lewis Jacob became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on September 10 , 2020 . Soror Jacob was a 1959 graduate of Dillard University , receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education , and was initiated into Beta Upsilon Chapter in 1957 . Professionally , she was an educator and taught in public schools in several cities before retiring from the Prince George ' s County , MD public schools . In 1970 , Soror Jacob joined 23 other visionary women to charter Iota Gamma Omega Chapter in Prince George ' s County where she remained active for 50 years . After retirement , she served others by volunteering with several health care organizations where she comforted cancer patients and victims of domestic violence . For more than 40 years , she was an active member of First Baptist Church of North Brentwood where she was a member of the trustee board and taught Vacation Bible School every summer . In 2015 , she was inducted into the Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame . She leaves to cherish her memory her 104-year old mother , family , friends , and sorors .
Johnson : Retired Educator / Silver Star
Lanham , MD – Soror Bettie Louise Johnson became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on March 4 , 2020 . She earned a BS degree in business from Norfolk State College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Trinity College in Washington , DC . She worked for the National Institutes of Health and later taught in the Washington , DC and Baltimore , MD public schools . She retired from the Baltimore school system in 2010 . She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church and an active member of the Ladies of Holy Family . Soror Johnson was initiated into Iota Gamma Omega Chapter in Prince George ' s County in 1995 and became a Silver Star in 2020 . She served on several committees including , ways and means , sunshine ( elderly ), and membership . She was also a member of the Pierians , Inc . of Prince George ' s County , MD and the Sassy Sisters Book Club . Soror Johnson leaves to cherish her memory , her devoted husband George , sons Alan and Jon , a brother , three grandchildren , and a host of loving family , friends , and sorors .
Johnson : Centenarian / Charter Member / Diamond Soror
Philadelphia , PA – Soror Goldye Kent Johnson became an Ivy beyond the Wall on May 10 , 2020 at the age of 108 . Soror Johnson was initiated into Nu Chapter at West Virginia State College in 1935 , where she earned her undergraduate degree . She served as a librarian at Lincoln University ( PA ) for many years and was a member of the Ladies Lion Auxiliary there . A 1973 charter member of the Iota Tau Omega Chapter . Soror Johnson served with distinction . She said her favorite AKA moment was " when the AKA ' s on the campus of WVSC invited me to become a member " and proudest life moment , " when I married Dr . Leroy Johnson ." She loved to recite poetry and passages from the Bible as well as listening to music . Her memory and legacy are cherished by her son , U . S . Army Major LeRoy Johnson ; daughter , Dr . Ami Diallo , grandchildren and a host of family , friends and sorors .
Johnson : Social Worker / Silver Soror
Newark , NJ – Soror Patrice Johnson became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on December 10 , 2020 . She was a member for 42 years . Soror Johnson was initiated into the Gamma Zeta Chapter on May 1 , 1978 , and joined Beta Alpha Omega Chapter in Newark , NJ in 2018 . She was a dedicated member of the chapter ' s membership committee . She worked for New Jersey ' s Division of Children and Families for 40 years , most recently as a social worker . She also dedicated her time to her community , working with the Battered Women ' s Shelter in Morris County , NJ and the Elizabeth Youth Program , assisting youth who were subjected to human trafficking , and as a crisis worker at the Bucks County Hospital in Pennsylvania . She leaves to cherish her memory her father , daughter Karlyia , siblings , friends , and extended family .
