Los Angeles , CA – Soror Stephanie Elaine Edwards Evans , Ph . D , became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She earned her bachelor ' s and master ' s degrees in education from California State University , Los Angeles and her doctorate from the UCLA School of Education . Soror Evans was initiated into Sigma Chapter in 1962 . Following graduation , she joined Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter in Los Angeles . She began her career in education as a school psychologist and ultimately became a full professor in applied & advanced studies in education at California State University . She routinely facilitated study travel to Havana , Cuba , taking students , faculty and friends to the annual Cuban Film Festival . Soror Evans leaves to cherish her memory her husband ; son Brandon , loving family , friends and her beloved sorors .
Fannin : Nurse
San Antonio , TX – Soror Ehriel Fabriahne Fannin became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on June 16 , 2020 . Soror Fannin was initiated into the Gamma Theta Chapter in 2004 and graduated from Hampton University ' s nursing program in 2005 . She furthered her education by obtaining a master ' s degree in nursing from the University of the Incarnate Word and a PhD from University of Pennsylvania in 2019 . Soror Fannin ' s career included working at Galen School of Nursing , at a nursing school in Philadelphia , at Texas A & M University College of Nursing , and briefly at University of the Incarnate Word School of Nursing . Additionally , she was an instructor for Kaplan ( license exam reviews ) for several years .
Fearn : Computer Scientist for NSA
Glen Burnie , MD – Soror Rheba Elaine " Galloway " Fearn became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on September 21 , 2020 . She was a graduate of VSU , where she majored in mathematics and later earned a MS in mathematics . She was initiated in 1949 into the Alpha Epsilon Chapter . For 31 years she worked as a computer scientist for the NSA and is lauded for breaking barriers as African American women integrated the workforce in the 70 ' s . Soror Fearn was a hidden figure . She married the late Dr . James Ernest Fearn . She enjoyed outreach and fundraising for her church , and alma mater . She contributed to the establishment of the National Museum of African American History and Culture . As a member of Omicron Gamma Omega Chapter , Soror Fearn served on several program committees , but her favorite was social justice and human rights as she was passionate about voting and the advancement of civil rights of African Americans . She is survived by her stepchildren , her sister Adelaide G . Gordon , nieces , nephews , and a host of relatives and friends .
Felder : Educator / Golden Soror
Long Island , NY – Golden Soror Levada Mae Felder of Theta Iota Omega Chapter became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on November 22 , 2020 . Soror Felder was initiated into Beta Chi Chapter at Lane College where she majored in music . She completed her studies and graduated with a bachelor ' s degree in education from the State University of New York at Old Westbury . Soror Felder was a dedicated and faithful member of the Bethel AME Church since the early ' 70s . She served her church in numerous capacities , most notably the lay organization , which honored her in November 2020 by renaming the organization after her during its 2020 Annual Lay Day . Golden Soror Felder was a member of Theta Iota Omega Chapter of Suffolk / Nassau Counties , Long Island , New York serving as grammateus and most recently , chaplain . Golden Soror Felder ' s memory will be cherished by her family , friends , extended church family and Theta Iota Omega sorors .

Jacksonville , FL — Soror Regina Lynn Fields became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror Fields received her bachelor ' s degree in public administration from St . John ' s University in 1986 . After moving to Florida , she completed the SOAR Counseling program and earned her master ' s degree from the University of Florida in 2007 . During her professional career she enriched the lives of children as a counselor . Advocating for children was her life ' s work . Soror Fields was initiated into Nu Mu Chapter in Spring 1986 . She leaves to cherish her memory her sister , Tanya Harper ; brother-in-law , Louis Harper ; nephews , Harold and Harlon Samuel ; nieces , Corrine , Jazmyn and Janay Harper ; great niece , Nova Lynn Valentine and a host of family , friends and sorors .
Finkley : Retired Educator
Mobile , AL — Soror Josephine Finkley became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . She was a member of Mt . Olive Methodist Episcopal Zion Church . She was a member of a number of axillaries including serving as a Sunday School teacher , singing in the choir , missionary society , altar guild and delegate for the church ' s annual conference . She was initiated into Delta Theta Omega Chapter in January 2002 . Soror Finkley received her bachelor ' s in elementary education from Alabama State University . She retired after 31 years from the Mobile County Public School System in 1982 . She was preceded in death by her mother , Ruby Hudson ; father , James Perkins and grandfather Joseph Hudson . She was preceded in death by her husband , Lester Finkley . She leaves to cherish her daughter Tanya ( Terry ) Hazzard and a sister , Herbene McFarland and one grandson , Jared and a host of other relative and friends .
