Through the generosity of corporate sponsor , AT & T ; high school girls , women , and a few good men convened from around the world for a " virtual lunch " program with remarks from International President Glenda Baskin Glover , North Atlantic Regional Director Mary Bentley Lamar , and a special guest appearance by former First Lady Michelle Obama , the founder and co-chair of When We All Vote ! Psi Omega Hosts Virtual Beach Gathering with a Purpose
Boston , MA – Psi Omega Chapter held its 5th annual Pinkwell virtual beach gathering with a purpose . Traditionally , the beach gathering takes place in Oak Bluffs , Massachusetts , on Martha ' s Vineyard . More than 100 sorors , their families , and friends from across the country , participated in the event — through a videoconferencing platform . The program , hosted by Soror LaKenya Webster and Soror Nia Hamm , included black business showcases , a celebration of The Arts !, fun tutorials , a backyard beach style set-up competition and fellowship . In order to raise funds for the annual Oak Bluffs charitable giving , the Pinkwell Committee created sponsorship packages and accepted general donations . In total , the

Iota Gamma Omega Supports Food Pantry at Bowie State University
Bowie , MD – Iota Gamma Omega Chapter ' s HBCU for Life committee was on hand to support the opening of the Bowie State University ' s ( BSU ) new Nutrition Lounge and Bowie4Life pantry . The lounge and pantry were created to address food insecurity amongst the BSU student body which includes the homeless and students from underserved communities . The lounge provides a safe space for students to gather , relax , and select food and toiletries . With the assistance of a $ 10,000 gift from Food Lion Feeds , a charitable arm of grocery store chain Food Lion , the pantry will provide free access to healthy meals , produce , and snacks for students in need .
