Lambda Gamma Establishes Scholarship
Wilmington , DE – Lambda Gamma Chapter supported # CAP SM by establishing a scholarship fund in honor of the chapter ' s legacy and commitment to service in New Castle County . Lambda Gamma was chartered in 1977 at the University of Delaware by 15 young women . During the fall 2020 homecoming season , Lambda Gamma hosted a virtual social to launch their fundraising initiative . Alumnae members rallied in support of the chapter ' s efforts , assisting the chapter , composed of six members , to seed a fund over $ 3,000 . After months of planning , fundraising , and connecting with high schools across Delaware , the chapter announced the scholarship fund to the public on their 44th anniversary . Lambda Gamma awarded the inaugural scholarship in honor of their Ivy Beyond the Wall charter members , Sorors Rita Harmon and Simone Cornish , in the amount of $ 1,000.00 .
Lambda Theta members presented purses with close to $ 400 in the form of gift cards , toiletries , and other items to MARYS House .
provides a safe shelter for those who are escaping an abusive relationship as well as assist victims to get back on their feet through workshops and Bible studies . To assist the organization , Lambda Theta collected monetary donations and gently used purses filled with toiletries and other supplies . The chapter extended the invitation to donate to those in the Clemson community and other students on campus . With the chapter and community ' s support , Lambda Theta presented over 25 purses and nearly $ 400 in the form of gift cards , toiletries , and other items . This event reflects the chapter ' s commitment to enhance the sorority ' s international footprint while serving an underserved population in the Clemson community .

Clemson , SC – During Founders ' Week , Lambda Theta Chapter at Clemson University hosted a humanitarian event on their campus and in the community . The chapter adopted MARYS House of Pickens in South Carolina . MARYS House , Ministry Alliance for Regaining Your Safety , is a registered non-profit organization that exists to ensure the safety , advocacy , and independence for victims of domestic violence . Mu Beta Hosts Destination HBCU
Milwaukee , WI – During 2021 Skee-Week , Mu Beta Chapter hosted Destination HBCU to continue the focus on education with an emphasis on Historically Black Colleges and Universities through HBCU For Life : A Call to Action target . Mu Beta reached out to seven HBCU seniors and asked them to record videos sharing their individual HBCU experiences . These seniors attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University , Hampton University , Howard University , Morehouse College , North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University , Spelman College , and Xavier University of Louisiana . After receiving the videos , Mu Beta members prepared them for their 2021 Skee-Week theme , The Last Ride , a theme to honor five graduating sorors in their last lap as undergraduates .
