Aldrich : Retired Educator / Realtor / Golden Soror
Sarasota , FL – Soror Linda " Chip " Aldrich became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on May 19 , 2020 . She was initiated in 1968 at Florida Memorial . She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Clark University and a master ' s degree in educational leadership from the University of Tampa . Her career as a teacher began in 1972 . In addition to lower elementary , she taught at the collegiate level . Next , she transitioned into real estate , and within her first year , she became " Rookie of the Year ." She was an active member of Lambda Omicron Omega Chapter , serving on serval committees . Her favorite roles as chairman were the Beautillion and the annual Christmas celebration . Soror Aldrich was a dedicated member for 52 years . She leaves to cherish her memories , her husband ( Sam ) of 50 years , two sons ( Darron / Sam II ), grandchildren , including Soror Shaniquea Aldrich , great-grandchildren , and a host of family and friends .
Anthony : Contractor / U . S . Department of State
Gaithersburg , MD – Soror Tanya Anthony became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on January 12 , 2020 . She was initiated into the Chi Theta Omega Chapter in December 2011 , where she served on several committees and represented the chapter at Boule . Soror Anthony attended Southern University , where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and later earned a Master of Science degree in health policy from Strayer University . She worked for the Federal Management Systems as a Contractor to the United States Department of State until her passing . She married her soulmate and friend William D . Haith and together , they had two children , Jacob and Olivia . She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the LSU and New Orleans Saints football teams .
BaCote : Retired Educator / Former House of Delegates Member / Golden Soror
Newport News , VA – Soror Mamye E . BaCote became an Ivy Beyond the Wall . Soror BaCote earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Union College ( University ) and was initiated into the Alpha Eta Chapter in 1957 . She completed post-graduate studies at Hampton Institute ( University ), receiving her master ' s degree . She also studied at Dartmouth College and the University of Exeter . Soror BaCote taught in the Newport News Public School System , retiring in 1994 , and was an adjunct professor at Hampton University . She served on the Newport News City Council from 1996-2003 and in the Virginia House of Delegates , representing the 95th district from 2004-2016 . Upon graduating college , she joined Lambda Omega Chapter , where she served on several committees . In addition , she was a member of St . Vincent DePaul Catholic Church , where she sang in the choir . She is survived by her sons , Theodore III , Derek , and Marlon BaCote ; grandchildren , great-grandchildren , a brother , a sister , other relatives , sorority sisters , and friends .
Bradley : Retired Educator / Pearl Soror / Life Member
Kansas City , KS – Soror Juanella Lloyd Bradley became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on April 21 , 2021 . Soror Bradley graduated from Avila College in elementary education , Kansas University with a master ' s degree in counseling and guidance , and a specialist degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City , also in counseling and guidance . She retired from the Kansas City Missouri School District with over 30 years as the school psychology department coordinator . The Juanella and Cortez Bradley Endowment Fund was established in her honor at Lincoln University . Soror Bradley was initiated in Alpha Iota Chapter at Lincoln University in 1950 . She joined Mu Omega Chapter in Kansas City and served as chapter grammateus and many program committees . She was recently honored for gaining her Pearl status with 71 years of membership . Soror Bradley leaves to cherish her memory , her husband of 71 years , Dr . Cortez Bradley ; daughters : Sorors Teresina Bradley and Stacia Bradley Brown , son , Cortez J . Bradley , II , and grandchildren , and great-grandchildren .
Bruner : Civil Rights Attorney / Entrepreneur / Silver Soror / Life Member
Washington DC - – Soror Paula Rene Bruner became an Ivy Beyond the Wall on June 4 , 2021 . She received her bachelor ' s and Juris Doctorate degrees from Howard University . Soror Bruner was initiated at Alpha Chapter in March 1981 and recently celebrated 40 years of membership . Her service to her graduate chapter , Xi Omega , included mentoring and reactivating sorors , supporting and launching scholarships , and positions as Ivy Leaf ® reporter and graduate advisory council member . Through " Paula ' s Purpose ," she was an authorized AKA vendor . In addition , she was heavily involved in church ministry as a former youth department leader and choir member . An attorney for 30 + years with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission , she received numerous honors for spearheading groundbreaking projects such as eradicating racism and colorism from employment ( E-RACE ) and the White House Initiative on HBCUs . Left to cherish her memory are her mother , Golden Soror Margaret Bruner , sister Silver Star Soror Pamela Bruner , and a host of family , sorors , and friends .
