Soror April Wakefield Spikener of Xi Gamma Omega Chapter in Oakland , California , published her second book of poetry , Butterfly — Poetry for Your Soul . Her first book , Internal Monologue — A Poetic Journey Through Love and Life , reflects her life . In 2009 , Soror Wakefield Spikener established April Oliva Stationary , adding her poetry to uniquely designed Alpha Kappa Alpha greeting cards with the motto , " sometimes your heart has more to say ." She continues to be community-focused as an Alameda County probation unit supervisor . With XGO ' s support , she implemented the Love Over Everything Project , which fed over 500 unhoused Oakland residents . Soror Wakefield Spikener , initiated into Zeta Psi Chapter at San Jose State University , is a leader , poet , and author .

Soror Beatrice W . Vasser , Ph . D ., is a past chapter Ivy Leaf ® reporter and a Silver Star member-initiated in 1989 , Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania . She is the author of The Color of Black ( MadBooks ) and Circle of Life : Verses from My Journey ( Pneuma Publishing ). Her work has been published in HEArt Journal online , Dionne ' s Story , Vol . II , and Voices from the Attic . She is a mother , grandmother , retired teacher , athletic director , and professional counselor . She received her Ph . Soror Squires is an entrepreneur and the owner of Tea Time Self-Publishing Services , where she has posted ( 21 ) children ' s books . The School Day Series consists of entertaining , funny stories of events at Seaside Elementary School , placed on the main character , a megaphone carrying Principal Squires .
