OK, so that’s understating things by quite a bit. We commence our 20 th Annual Conference in less than a month, the cycle of quarterly seminars continues apace and here in Vitoria we’re looking to expand into the ‘Meetup’ domain as a way to energise an untapped pool of interest, expertise and, hopefully, members. From my position it appears that your organisation is continuing to meet the needs of a diverse industry, a dynamic profession and an engaged fraternity of forward thinking people. Interestingly, you, as a group, are strongly invested in an organisation which carries the word ‘Forum’ in its name – in other words a place where you work collectively to enhance the professional learning of your peers in ways that are very selfless. An entirely commendable approach and one which has seen itSMFA continue to thrive against a backdrop of membership groups typically struggling to attract and maintain their numbers. Changing the subject to something a bit less aspirational, your Conference, now merely weeks away, is the perfect opportunity for you to engage directly with the Board members, the staff and myself. As a group you are never short of ideas and as individuals you strive for ways to improve the Forum. So why not take the opportunity and come and speak to those members of your Board who are not based in your state, to the other State Branch Chairs and to myself and the team. We’d all love to hear from you.
