Dear members

I am really looking forward to our upcoming National Conference in Brisbane in September, and I know many of you are too.  There’s a bit of a feeling of being ‘let off the leash’ about this event – it is always something to look forward to, but this year we’re all looking for a dose of normality as well, and our Conference will provide that.

The speaker line up is genuinely impressive and like many of you I am particularly looking forward to the amazing story of Gill Hicks.  It isn’t too often we get to hear from a person we may regard as a genuine hero.

We have extended both the Early Bird discount and Award nominations, so I would certainly encourage you to sign up for these – either, or preferably both.  It is also worth noting that the Corporate Discount represents a substantial saving to any company that wishes to take advantage of it.

One thing that I am very pleased about is the level of sponsor support for this year’s Conference – it is fantastic and demonstrates great faith in the organisation, in Service Management generally and also in the professionalism of our event which is one of the premier Service Management conferences in the world.

We have just wrapped up our Q2 series of seminars and events and these have been a tremendous success.  Of necessity most of these were delivered virtually, or at the very least as a combination of ‘in-person’ and virtual.  We have learnt a big lesson in regard

to how we now present these events and that is that the opportunity to open them up to ALL members nationally via virtual links is a tremendous advantage and one we intend to continue to pursue.

That said, of course we all desire the return to face-to-face meetings with all of the important personal interaction that are such a feature of everything we do.

We are now more actively promoting ITIL Online, a significant membership advantage and I would like to draw your attention to the monthly ‘Special Publication’ that you, as a Member, are able to access free of charge.

We will continue to draw your attention to both the online ITIL portal and the publications via social media, so stay posted and jump in for a closer look – I’m sure you will appreciate what you find.

There is only one more thing I’d like to say: “See you in BrisVegas in September!”

Enjoy the magazine.

Enjoy your Bulletin.
