FROM THE CHAIR

Hi everyone,
This has been a remarkable few months.
Of course our Q3 Seminar program is now complete and this program remains in my eyes as one of our signature achievements. It is hard to think of a better, or more effective, model of an informal source of professional learning. The program is driven by our committee of volunteers, the members and of course ably supported by the office staff who do so much behind the scenes to ensure its success.
This partnership, between the members and the staff provides a cost effective model of learning and professional development that is the envy of many other associations operating across similar spheres.
On another topic, may I remind members that ITIL4 is available online, one of the most significant of our tangible member benefits and one of the most eagerly utilised. This can be accessed by our members via our website https://itsmfaus.site-ym.com/
I had the opportunity to welcome many of you personally to our National Conference and as you would expect, planning is well underway for this event next year. Something you may not have expected - we have our first sponsor signed up already. Aprill Allen from Knowledge Bird will
be sponsoring the 3 minute angels again, congratulations Aprill.
This was hugely popular this year and we’re delighted both to have them back and for Aprill to be the naming rights sponsor.
And there are more ‘early’ early-bird sponsors in the pipeline. This is a ‘BIG TICK’ for what our conference delivers and its continued relevance and industry clout.
I want to give a shout out to our colleagues in the NT Branch, their Q4 event is creating a great deal of excitement among our ‘top-end’ community with the https://ntdigitalawards.org.au/ We are strong supporters of these awards and applaud the efforts of everyone concerned to make this the industry event it is – Well Done!
Of course your Board and Executive continue to work on your behalf, but the strength of an organisation like ours is, and will always be, the energy and dedication of the members, in particular those who step forward as volunteers. This includes my fellow Board members of course, but extends to all of you who do so much to make ITSMF Australia the envy of the Service Management world.
Enjoy the magazine.
