FROM THE CHAIR

3

Hi everyone,

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome your new Board of Directors who are all set for an exciting year ahead. A warm welcome to Janet Holling who is our newest member to this important governing forum. The rest of the members you would already know from their sterling work, which you collectively held in high enough esteem to allow them to continue serving. A welcome sense of continuity along with some new blood – a recipe for success for any board in my view. Click here for more info.

Your Australian forum also works with a secondary governing body, an Executive Committee and I will be heading that up as Chair with Deputy Chair, Brendan Cullen and Treasurer, Troy Latter.

I have been delighted with the support from our sponsors for the upcoming National Conference – it has been outstanding, and it serves as a useful reminder of the good work the Forum is doing among the Service Management community here in Australia. A wonderful mix of loyal sponsors who have been with us for many years and a number of new sponsors coming on board which has created a lot of excitement.

We will be announcing the full program soon, but I can let you know that we have engaged Kellie King, a global leader currently working in Hong Kong and the Unites States. She has an enviable reputation for delivering strategic business solutions to organisations through a unique mix of transformational, technical, process, change management and technology leadership capabilities.

Kellie has pioneered Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence initiatives and is a trusted advisor in these domains. She will be an exciting and transformative key-note speaker.

Among our other attractions are “Future Crunch” and Rob Edwards, a Great Debate, SIAM, DevOps concurrent workshops which are also part of the program.

These are exciting times; we have a newly appointed Board which will steer your organisation towards a rewarding and bright future. Conference is, of course our major national event, and is rightly regarded as one of the best Service Management conferences in the world. I also note that our quarterly seminar program continues to hold its place as a valued and trusted source of informal learning and networking.

I look forward to seeing you at Conference and strongly suggest that you jump on to the website to get a better idea of the wealth of talent and experience on offer at this event. Click through to our Conference website.

It’s going to be a cracker!

And please don’t forget the Gala dinner this year cruising down the Brisbane river and of course our eagerly anticipated Awards presentation.

Enjoy the magazine. Looking forward to seeing you at Conference register to show your support.
