FROM THE CHAIR

Hi everyone.

I hope this finds you well and rested after the Christmas break, the New Year and that the new year has started well.

We are looking at another busy year, one marked by some significant milestones of which the most obvious is the launch of ITIL 4. This is an event that holds great promise for us as the Australian forum for ITIL practitioners and we have geared up to manage the increased workload and demands that will be made on us as a result.

ITIL 4 grew out of the feedback and insights from literally thousands of practising professionals with a significant number based here in Australia. It boasts over 150 content writers, reviewers and contributors with teams nested within the ‘AXELOS Global ITIL Development Group’. This alone consists of over 2,000 professionals.

There will be more information to follow, but a synopsis of the situation

regarding ITIL 4 can be found on the website, or you can refer back to the recent email sent to members from the National Office.

Of course, planning is already underway for the 2019 Conference. We tweaked the format last year and delivered an outstanding event. The Australian Conference is one of the highlights on the international calendar for our industry. We will soon call for submissions to present, so get your stories ready. We can’t wait to hear how you are designing the future!

I’m looking forward to another exciting year; one of challenges, opportunities and achievements.

It is an exciting time to be working in our industry.

Enjoy the magazine,

Bradley Busch
